Lens Elements
Lens Colors
No other manufacturer can lay claim to such
technical marvels as the superior quality
Sandstone™ glass lens and the 7-layer
lens/Hydrocoat. Starting with a polarized layer
to attenuate the horizontal component of each
photon of light, Bollé adds two layers of
optically ground and polished
Sandstone-tinted glass for increased contrast.
A photochromatic layer (light-adjusting) is
added for optimal vision in varying light
conditions, as well as an anti-reflective
coating to reduce backside glare. The final
two layers consist of front and back coatings
of Hydrocoat to prevent vision impairing
distractions such as water marks, fingerprints
and dust adherence.
The polarized CACTUS Lens features backside anti-reflective coating to reduce distracting bounce-back images, and the front side is coated with a gold top gradient mirror.
